  • Wet Systems - Wet systems are filled with water and until the heat-responsive glass bulb or fusible element is activated from the rising heat of a fire. Once activated water will discharge from the sprinkler head. These systems are designed to only spray water where the heads are being activated.
  • Dry Systems - Dry systems are filled with compressed air or nitrogen, so there is no water sitting in the pipes until a sprinkler head has been activated. Once activated water will fill the system with water to discharge from the sprinkler head. These systems are designed to only spray water where the heads are being activated.
  • Pre-Action Systems - Pre-Action systems are filled with compressed air or nitrogen, along with a supplemental system serving the same area of protection. so there is no water sitting in the pipes until a sprinkler head has been activated.
